What is U.S. Military on the Move?

The program U.S. Military on the Move does exactly what it says.  We help our military move. We give back to our service members, by providing credits/rebates for purchasing or selling a home.  The program is offered in several states by members of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.  To be clear… this is not a discount program.  You, the client, will be getting top of the line service from myself, our lenders, escrow, and title.  You have made the decision to help take care of us.  Now it’s our turn to take care of you.  Go to mikemendezrealty.com/military-on-the-move now to schedule an appointment.

What Credits/Rebates are Available Through U.S. Military on the Move?

There are 4 possible credits available with this program. The first comes from myself and First Team Real Estate. We are the agent and broker for you in the transaction. We give 20% of our commission back to you, the client, as a credit at the close of escrow. This applies to direct family members, as well.

The second credit come from the lender. In my area of Southern California, I partner with Newrez Financial. They offer a $1495 credit for Veteran borrower(s) and a $500 credit for non-veteran borrower(s). The credit still applies for VA loans with $0 down. It can be used to buy down the interest rate.

The third credit comes from escrow. I partner with Hallmark/Coast Cities Escrow. They offer 25% off the base escrow fee for active-duty and Veteran.

The fourth credit comes from title. I partner with Western Resources Title. For sellers they offer a 10% reduction of the homeowner’s title policy. This applies to active-duty and Veterans.

You or your family can use your own vendors for lending, escrow, and title if you prefer. I just can’t guarantee the same credits.

Credits/rebates are not allowed in all states and lenders may have certain limits and/or restrictions. Other terms and conditions may apply.

Who can take advantage of the U.S. Military on the Move program?

Any active-duty Military, honorably or generally discharged Veteran, or reservist is eligible to take advantage of this program. For active-duty or reservist, I just need to see your military I.D. For any Veteran I just need to see your DD214. If you do not have your DD214 I am able to request it on your behalf.

In addition, we know that it is not just you, the active military, Veteran, or military reserve who has made sacrifices for our country. Your families have made sacrifices too. For that reason, portions of this program are available to your spouses, your children, your siblings, and your parents. We want you to know that they are being taken care of with the dedication and respect that they deserve. If your family member is taking advantage of the program, I need the same military I.D. or DD214, plus their connection to you. It’s that simple.

Why did I decide to get involved in this program?

I got involved in this program when I did, because I didn’t know about it sooner.  I knew that there were credit unions and loans available to our service members.  But I was unaware of anyone, on the agent side, offering a program specifically for military real estate.  I was introduced to this program by a high school buddy, former Marine Corp Sergeant Robert Klenk.   When he told me about this program, it just seemed so obvious to me.  Take care of our military members.  I did not serve myself but, I have friends, uncles, cousins and grandparents who did.  I wish there were programs like this so easily available to them.  Well, now there are. And I am very proud to be a part of it.

Former Sergeant Klenk and I are both certified in the U.S. Military on the Move program.  He, however, was also the first Veteran to use the program when our company, First Team Real Estate, brought it to Southern California.

What areas does Mike Mendez Realty Service?

The answer to this is essentially all of Southern California. I service the Los Angeles area, the Valley and the Inland Empire. My partner, former Marine Corp Sergeant, Robert Klenk covers Orange County down to San Diego. We both cover the Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore area.

We are committed to making sure that our service members in Southern California, have access to this great military buy and sell program. If you are not sure we cover the area you are interested in, go to mikemendezrealty.com/military-on-the-move for a consultation.

How many times can I use the program?

U.S. Military on the Move is available for EVERY eligible transaction. There is no limitation on how many times we allow you to take advantage of this program. We know that our military members have the potential to move more often than civilians. That is why we do not put a cap on how many times this program can be used.

In fact, what we have seen is our military personnel turn their first purchase into their first rental property when they do move. This could be a great way to secure financial freedom for you and the next generation of your family. Robert and I would be happy to sit with you and show you how to make this a reality.
